Web 3.0: Are You Ready for Cloud Marketing?

We started with Web 1.0 as a way to access information on the Read-Only basis,  went into Web 2.0 where that information became a two-way street;  live web interaction and social media were born, and now it is time for Web 3.0 or in other words:

Cloud Computing!

According to wiki: ” Cloud computing is a style of computing in which dynamically scalable and often virtualized resources are provided as a service over the Internet. Users need not have knowledge of, expertise in, or control over the technology infrastructure “in the cloud” that supports them. Cloud computing services usually provide common business applications online that are accessed from a web browser, while the software and data are stored on the servers.”

Those clouds and cloudlets have been there for a while, and everybody is accessing them without even knowing they exist! When your customers pay using PayPal for an example; they are into PayPal cloud; when you look up a map through Google Maps; you are into Google cloud….

what is your part as an internet marketer in Cloud Computing?

  • Providing an easy access to those clouds: Starting with a fast and reliable web hosting (HTTP Cloud), Securing the purchase transaction through Security Certificates (SSL Cloud) and finally access to  yet another cloud (Payment Cloud). The easier and smoother those steps, the better for your sales figures.
  • Going-Mobile Marketing: That is your new niche calling; a lot of your customers leave their laptops when they go on the road; and rely on their mobile phones to stay in touch; and with a G4 speed and growing; accessing home office has never been easier! As an Internet Marketer, you better start thinking about ways to sell over the Mobile sphere. Not to forget about Netbooks : Cheap 10“ screen laptops with the soul purpose of keeping in touch with the Internet, call them Palm PC’s re-born.
  • Using Web Application Ads: When you go online to upload, Download or edit your digital pictures; you are using web based application on a certain cloud;  there are tons of them around,  and whether you use them for free or pay for the service; the ads will certainly be part of those applications,  figuring out the PPC for them is a whole different creature altogether! Another niche is waiting there to be tapped.

The web as we know it is changing…fast; and as with any other variable in general:

Those who adapt quickly and seize the opportunities will survive and profit!

Cloud hopping anyone?
