Posting a Comment or linking: Which comes first?

The Golden Rule in commenting at any blog is: Make your comment RELEVANT to the post you are commenting on! When you like a post and you leave a comment; it is greatly appreciated by the blogger and would give him / her the boost to blog some more, BUT When you post a comment for the sake of leaving a link back to your blog or site; and your comment reads like an alien visited planet Earth and said:  Nice Blue Sky; but Where is the Beef… <–Get the Best Donuts in Space–> Sky and Beef? Cut…Cut No Donuts for you my friend
